The checkered design is in high demand and seems to be sticking around for quite some time. Designers including Alexander Wang, Tibi, Tory Burch and Michael Kors are creating different variations of the trend from over-sized blazers, tailored trousers, skirts, dresses and trench coats. Getting your hands on these luxury items may indeed cost you a pretty penny, so I’m super excited some of my favorite lower-end brands are recreating the checker design. ASOS, Zara, Mango, Forever 21 and H&M are hitting the nail right on the head with achieving the most desired look of the Fall, Spring and now the Summer season.
For all my Zara lovers, Zara is known for their blow-out sales. Two years ago, I purchased this midi checker skirt for only $30. Little did I know the design would be a huge comeback for all of Fall 17. I was thrilled to snag this deal as it was a fabulous find.
I love the structured design of the skirt and gold buttons which are placed beautifully on the left side of the skirt. Of course I styled it with an over-sized puff sleeve white shirt which is a staple piece and Tamara Mellon Pistol Pump to complete the look.
This look is perfect for a work environment but also perfect for after work engagements.
