The 1970s era marked the freedom of individuality and self expression. There were no fashion rules. There were no boundaries. People simply wore what felt organic. Fashion trends birthed during this timeframe really transcended for generations to come as it’s still dominating the catwalk in the 21st century. Designers are recreating mini and midi dresses, bell bottoms, wide legged trousers, while also incorporating intricate and eclectic patterns. It’s the autumnal color schemes however, which I’m drawn to most. The earth tone color palettes are beautiful and compliment every skin complexion. The rustic burnt orange hues, the different variations of brown, olive green, beige, harvest gold, mustard yellow, shades of camel, rust and maroon—-should all be a wardrobe staple not only for the Fall season by all year round. Here’s how I styled my new color crush.
This beautiful suede skirt was purchased from ASOS for my birthday two years ago. The zippers on the front of the skirt are a nice touch but I was completely sold with the zipper located in the back. I whipped out my debit card with no hesitation. Now, I know many may feel suede during the warmer months is a Fashion Don’t, but trust me, its super lightweight making it easy to maneuver in.
I’m totally into the bell/Puff sleeve designs and super happy that Erilyn by Temitope gifted me this beautiful White Shirt. White Shirts are super chic and should be a girl’s best friend. In the words of Reality Star, Tami Roman, GET INTO IT!!lol . It’s an effortlessly cool look that can easily transition from a cool day time look to a sexy night on the town outfit. Crisp white shirts can be worn with anything, from jeans, shorts, trousers, leggings and in my case, considered the perfect go-to to compliment my suede skirt.
Bucket bags are the new it item this season and the Camelia brand creates the most affordable and fashion forward leather purses that I love. I purchased the white leather bucket bag that is super chic last year. The woven material with lace, the metal accessories finished with gold is adds a nice touch and the detachable adjustable shoulder strap allows for versatile wears. This purse really elevated my overall look.
To complete the look, I paired it with affordable Metallic Silver heeled sandals from ASOS.
I hope you love it as much as I do!!
Happy Shopping!
