It’s the most wonderful time of the year and I’m in the holiday spirit. To celebrate, I treated myself to a fabulous dining experience this past weekend at one of my favorite places in New York City; The Baccarat Hotel. It is one of the most beautiful and luxurious places located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan.
The ambiance of The Grand Salon is exquisite!! From the silk covered walls, parquet floors, marble tables, fur chairs, grand crystallized chandeliers, platinum and sparkling neutral shades , high ceilings and large bouquets of red roses created an atmosphere of pure elegance and sophistication. It’s the perfect environment for a date night, a special occasion gathering with family and friends or a place to just casually grab a glass of wine or a cup of tea. Not only is it breathtakingly stunning, the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Due to the opulence of the Grand Salon, I wanted to wear something super feminine and glamorous. I wore a gorgeous satin style fabric plum midi dress from ASOS. The Plum color was the perfect shade to compliment my skin tone. It’s totally a work of art, from the exaggerated sleeves, the button cuff details, to the V-cut open back.
The Satin Midi dress is $100 which I found to be reasonable given the quality of the fabric and intricate details. If this is out of your budget, no worries….Trust Me!!! If you’re a loyal ASOS shopper, then you are fully aware that everything goes on sale if you’re patient. Here’s a tip. Add the item of interest to your shopping bag and monitor the website for the markdown. I do this all the time and I’ve saved so much by not purchasing items in a haste.
To complete the look, I paired it with a vintage clutch from ASOS that I purchased five years ago along with my always on-the-go Black So Kate Christian Louboutin Heels.
This overall look can be worn by every woman as it compliments every body type. It’s dramatic and vibrant. Remember it’s about looking great, but it’s also about feeling great and this dress accomplishes the goal.
