Tweed is a fashion trend that never goes out of style! It is Traditionally known as Scottish and Iris clothing used as outerwear to withstand climate changes and also as protective wear while hunting. However, fashion designers have been incorporating tweed designs which have been dominating the fashion runway for years! Today it’s known as one of the longest and most popular trends for the fall and winter seasons.
Luxury brands such as Chanel and Prada have created head to toe tweed ensembles that are a fashion lovers’ dream! From sophisticated suits, jackets, skirts, trousers, dresses and coats, you name it, they’ve created it. What I love most is the versatility of the fabric and how it compliments every body type beautifully.
On the flip side , these pieces can really cost a fortune and can put a dent in your bank account. I’m a firm believer in shopping smarter not harder so I had to do some research to find the look for less. After a little digging, I was able to indulge in the trend, look flawless and most importantly save a pretty penny as well.
Pictured is a red, white, gold and navy blue blazer vest dress purchased from one of my go-to stores Zara. As soon as I saw the dress, I had to have it. Can you believe, I was able to find the exact same dress from another Online clothing store, Sheinside for a fraction of the price??? Yes!!!! Talk about a deal and a steal!! I love the structure of the dress and the quality. It feels super warm, cozy and comfortable! I styled it with a puff sleeve top from ASOS and over-the-knee boots from Zara purchased last Fall.
This look is perfect for dinner, a night on the town, church and even a professional work environment.
