Visiting Paris in September was one of the most amazing experiences and highlights of 2018. From all of the landmarks, museums, cafe’s, and beautiful architecture, it so easily became one of my favorite places to visit. The timing was perfect as the weather was cool and comfortable and it was the time in which Fashion is celebrated, Paris Fashion Week. I was super excited as this was all a fashion girls’ dream!
Although I wanted to be glamorous most days, I most importantly wanted to feel comfortable and look effortless. What better way than to rock Suede while indulging in the monochromatic trend! Yes!! I’m totally obsessed with the autumnal color schemes and all the earth-tone color palettes, so the camel suede midi overall dress was the perfect choice. I purchased this dress from ASOS almost two years ago for only $38 from the sale section. I was shock when the package arrived, because the dress was indeed suede suede lol. The quality was everythingggg. I’m extremely picky with the quality of items I wear as it can really make or break a silhouette! Looking cheap is never the goal, but spending less is. So remember, it’s not about how much money you spend, it’s all about knowing how to look for quality pieces. Most times these items can be found on the sale rack.
I must admit I really have a bad habit of purchasing items and taking forever to wear them. There are two reasons for this. One, I’m an extreme home-body. I love being home and it’s rare you’ll catch me on the scene especially during the winter months. The second reason is I hold on to all my pieces until I can complete the outfit exactly how I envisioned it in my mind. I know, don’t judge me lol. Don’t worry however, I’m definitely working on improving my social life and not being a perfectionist when it comes to my wardrobe.
Ok let’s get back to completing the outfit! I was happy to come across a high neck top from ASOS to match perfectly with my suede dress! I mean the color was spot on!!! I paired it with Leopard So Kate heels and this gorgeous Benedetta Bruzziches Brigitte Leather bag! As subtle as the outfit was, it was definitely an eye- catcher as I marched to the most monumental of all triumphant arches, The Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
I loved this look and I hope you love it as well!
